Newbury hosts round one of the 2011 NECC championships. Newbury had beaten Elms 1-0 during regular season. This match up had Newbury controlling the match and possessing the ball 90 percent of the time, but Newbury, had trouble finishing. Elms got two goals in the first half. Newbury had a major offensive late in the second and with less than two minutes left, netted their first goal. Counting down to the final seconds Newbury was again knocking at the door to tie, but just ran out of time. Elms now travels to Southern Vermont for Round two.
